Pork and Beef Chow Mein (C3)

This is a great crockpot recipe!

Serves 8

3/4 lb round steak, cubed
6 pork chops, cubed
6 cups water
1 large onion, chopped
3 ribs diced celery
1 can bean sprouts, drained
4 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce

Brown pork and steak. Remove and add to crockpot with other ingredients and mix well.

Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6 hours.

Add soy sauce and thicken with cornstarch or arrowroot, if desired.

Serve over:

  • broccoli slaw that has been sauteed until soft
  • whole wheat chow mein noodles
  • whole wheat rice
